Today's regularly scheduled meeting of the HACS Board of Commissioners has been canceled due to the inclement weather.  

The regularly scheduled board meeting for December 13, 2023 has been cancelled.  We will be holding a special meeting on December 19th, 2023 at 3:30 PM instead.

The regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Commissioners on October 18, 2023 has been cancelled.  In its place we will hold a special meeting of the Board of Commissioners on October 26th, 2023 at 3:00PM in the HACS Board Room.

The regularly scheduled HACS board meeting for September 20, 2023 has been cancelled due to scheduling conflicts.  We will be holding a special meeting of the Board of Commissioners on September 28, 2023 at 3:30PM.  That meeting's agenda has been posted to our website under the About Us tab

The Slidell Housing Authority has scheduled a Public Hearing to discuss the 2017 Capital Fund Action Plan.  The meeting will be held at the HACS main office, located at 1250 Martin Luther King Jr Drive, in Slidell at 9:00AM Monday, August 14, 2023.  A draft copy of the plan can be found on our website under the public information tab.

THE HCV (SECTION 8) WAIT LIST WILL BE OPEN STARTING JULY 1, 2023.  APPLICANTS CAN SUBMIT A PRE-APPLICATION BY CLICKING THE LINK TO THE LEFT UNDER APPLICATION -> HOUSING CHOICE VOUCHER.

New Utility Allowance schedules for 2023 have been posted on our public information page.  We are soliciting public comments on the new utility allowances.  Tenants, clients, and members of the public may comment by sending an e-mail to info@slidellhousingauthority.org.

The Housing Authority of the City of Slidell administrative office will remain closed to the public until further notice. This action is being taken for the safety of our residents, clients and employees in order to limit the spread of the COVID 19 virus. HACS will continue to maintain contact with public housing residents and Housing Choice Voucher Program participants and landlords through e-mail US Mail correspondence, telephone, and fax. Appointments and compliance interviews may be conducted through phone calls.  Please note that all calls are recorded.
